In 1997 I was invited to provide media services to three Aboriginal communities in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia to take photos for a multi-media CD Language maintenance production. The CD production was developed to help the young generations to learn to read and write their own language.
The photography included portraits of elders, and photos of bush food and locations. I was also involved in developing the digital artwork for every screen and interfaces of the CD Multi-media production which followed through 12 months to completion.
While in transit through the remote landscape I had the opportunity to explore some personal adventures taking photos of the unique landscape of the Kimberley wilderness.
I took on a flight in a small plane to explore the Kimberley wilderness from the air, starting from Broome North over the tidal zones and then East over the remote landscape of Halls Creek and beyond. Just amazing views of a magical place on earth. Just a few more Kimberley photos =>
